CO-GENERATION
Co-Generation
Co-generation means the simultaneous production of two useful forms of the energy (in our case electricity & steam). Bagasse is the by-product generated from sugar production which is a readily available fuel, Co-generation is also a source of additional revenue stream to the sugar unit and acts as a much-needed shock-absorber from the uncertainty of the sugar business. It just doesn’t generate revenue but the over-production of electricity is exported to the government which is utilized as a major source of energy in rural households.
We installed 12 MW bagasse based cogeneration project at karkhana site & a 132 Kv substation of M.S.E.T.C.L. with 18 Km evacuation line from karkhana to Georai-Paithan 132 Kv H.T. line. We are evacuating power to M.S.E.D.C.L. grid from Jan.2010.
