In the wake of industrial modernization in India, Indreshwar Sugar mill was incorporated to fulfill the demand of cane producers in Maharashtra. The western front was setting up a competitive rivalry as India’s overall sugar production in past was dominated by Uttar Pradesh. With an overall capacity of 2,50,000 MT, Indreshwar’s sugar plant was equipped with the latest machinery and fully automated systems to maintain the quality of sugar produces. Within no time, the Indreshwar sugar mill was one of the highest sugar producers in the region with nearly doubling the overall capacity. In order to be self-sufficient, a co-generation plant was also erected, and to everybody’s surprise, right from the 1st year, the Indreshwar sugar mill was exporting a surplus of its electricity to the government of Maharashtra
